Directions for Your Elopement Adventure

The Paper Boat can accommodate a maximum of 30 guests, including the Bride and Groom.

We have many central locations close to Surfer’s Paradise where you can board, including HOTA in Bundall and Appel Park in Surfers Paradise. We can make other arrangements regarding boarding in different locations, but this may affect the Package price. Note a commercial pontoon is required.

We have packages available with durations of 3 hours and 4 hours, but hey, if you want to be on the boat longer, we are happy to work with you.

This is dependent on availability and your requirements. Some people want the day to get married and the evening to celebrate at a restaurant, others want the sunset or sunrise. Let us know what your love story requires!

Please see the packages page for a deeper description, but in general you’ll receive; exclusive use of the boat, our fabulous wedding celebrant to marry you. She will incorporate your unique, personalised, ceremony and vows. An amazing, professional photographer and a stylist to decorate the boat for that special. Romantic ambience you’d expect.    

The Paper Boat is fully Licensed. Drinks are available onboard at reasonable prices.

We have packages that start at $5999.00 for 3 hours of wedding fun and $8795 for 4 hours. This price includes up to 30 guests including the Bride and Groom. We can also work with you on any special needs you may have.

Absolutely, Our Romance package, includes a beautiful Honey cake as part of the package, one of the yummiest cakes you will ever taste.  

It is made by our restaurant caterers, Freghete Restaurant.

We can incorporate this for you in all our packages.

We understand how special it is to have your pet’s involved in your wedding day and we  cater for this in our beach weddings.  However, we are sorry, but no animals are permitted on the boat. 

We have some special dog friendly locations along the beaches of the Gold Coast and we would love to talk to you about incorporating your special hairy friend on your day.

We also specialise in beach elopements so if you are not a water person, our team can also accommodate beach weddings. The price differs depending on your requirements.

We’ve designed The Paper Boat to streamline the wedding process and take all the stress off your shoulders. With four dedicated professionals working for you, you’re in safe hands!

WHAT TO EXPECT

3 Months Before

We’ll have a planning session with Robynne (in person or virtual) to discuss your ceremony and go over all the details of your wedding day. As part of this process, she will send you a quiz about your love story. This will help her to get to know you both better and guide the creation of your unique ceremony. This will also including going through all the legal paperwork, including the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM), and we’ll sort out any complex details early on if necessary.

1 Month Before

Robynne will send you a draft of your ceremony for review. Bjorn will also connect to confirm any special photography moments you’d like to capture. If you have any extra styling requests in addition to our standard packages, Bethany will be in touch to finalize those details.

2 Weeks Before

We’ll have a final check-in to review everything—ceremony, styling, and photography—ensuring we are all set to sail to your big day!

ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

Relax and enjoy every moment! Robynne will guide your ceremony, Bjorn will capture the magic, Bethany will ensure The Paper Boat is styled to perfection, and James, our captain, will take you both on a stunning Gold Coast waters cruise as you say, "I do."
